My slow cooking soup
was still cooking at 5am when I got up, I added some
onion which I had forgot along with the Romano beans,
which I didn't want to overcook. I set it for 4 hours on
"high". (after I had a bowl of course)
Needed more jars for
the pickles, picked them up at A&P near the hundreds of
jars of ordinary boring pickles.
Then the fun began as
we drained, washed, made the "mustard mix" added the
vinegar, and cooked the whole thing on the stove. Millie
was too short to see over the top of the pot when it was
on the stove, unless she was on a chair.
We worked together as
a well oiled machine (almost) with lots of lively
discussion about why we were doing certain things.
Luckily the room was small and the voices were loud so
hearing was not a problem.
We sterilized the
jars as we went, attached seal and the ring. We were a
little short on headspace in some (in hindsight), and I
searched to find out the reason for "headspace", to no
avail. I'm guessing it is to do with air compressing but
not liquids. As they cooled we could hear the tops
popping to confirm a good seal, We'll check them to see
our score later.
My back was killing
me in the kitchen as it always does (I can't lean
slightly over for longer than 10 minuets) based on to
much weight in my belly. The backpack will work on that
problem later (Plan 238)
Worked on ensuring I
have all the latest hit sounds, couldn't find a few
custom songs someone wants for the ceremony on the 12th,
but I don't believe they exist (instrumental versions)
Have a double coming up on the 18/19th, with ceremonies,
with traveling, Hope to be in shape by then, well better
We watched "He's
just not that into you" an ok movie.
Then we watched "Lies
& Illusions" a really bad movie as far as acting was
concerned. What it did show me was that if you can hire
a good actor for your movie, people will buy it based on
the actor, never mind anything else
This is the end of
one week, and I am down 8 pounds. I can honestly say I
have eaten as much as I wanted, just different stuff.
The jello really works in tasting like a desert, but
having next to no calories.
Thinking I should
switch to my salmon and vegetables for a few days, but
also thinking if it works don't fix it
I am also going to
double my vitamins for the day to 2
